GETTING STARTED
If you've had a chance to look around our site and you're ready to go, you're probably wondering how to get started. All new clients are required to complete the NEWBIE QUICK START. This package consists of 3 one hour personal training sessions and one month of classes. Generally we try and have you complete all 3 sessions prior to beginning the group classes. This ensures that you have been taught the fundamental movements as they pertain to Diablo CrossFit, as well as understanding the concepts of proper form, range of motion, scaling to ability, and intensity.
Because the Newbie Quick Start is 'one on one' instruction (or 'one on a few' if you train with a partner), the instruction is completely adjusted to the ability of the client. These lessons will be used to evaluate your ability and scale the workouts accordingly. It does not matter if you are a professional athlete, a stay at home mom, or even if you are injured/disabled. We will work with you to develop you to the best of your ability.
If you are an experienced athlete, or are experienced with CrossFit, these sessions will be used to introduce you to "The Shed" (our name for the gym) and many of the fun tools we use. Your ability and form will be analyzed, your workouts will be challenging.
BEGINNER CROSSFIT ATHLETES - If you're in good shape and have a few CrossFit workouts in another CrossFit gym under your belt, then come on down for one of our Fundamentals classes. Just send us a quick email to let us know you'll be coming: Fundamentals Sign Up. Once you've attended a month or so of fundamentals classes, you may want to try our Elite classes. ELITE CROSSFIT ATHLETES - If you're in decent shape and have a lot of CrossFit classes under your belt, then you might want to jump into our Elite Class right away. We'll quiz you first, of course. MUAY THAI @ The SHED - If you want top notch instruction coupled with a great workout, then come join our Muay Thai Classes @ The Shed. Our Instructors will adjust the drills and instruction to your skill level. Muay Thai classes are offered separately from CrossFit classes and require a separate payment. Feel free to stop buy during our normal classes (evenings are usually best), but usually we prefer people contact us at info@diablocrossfit.com so we can set up a time to meet you (and make sure all the trainers aren't busy teaching when you come down). It is generally our policy to talk to everyone before letting them 'jump in' on a class.
