Great website powered by CrossFit / Paleo Powered Chickas!
". . . I asked a few friends to join me and speak to “you” on a daily basis about Nutrition “Paleo” to be exact! Fitness “the panel” ARE CrossFit Chicks, and everything “WOMEN” related from A-Z.
This page is for WOMEN, written by “REAL” Women. Our age ranges from early 20’s to late 40’s. We know what your thinking, because we are too! We have hormones, children, spouses, boyfriends, partners, jobs, family, friends, you name it, we have it, and we are just like “YOU”! MY GOAL for this blog is to SUPPORT and UNITE women from all over the WORLD. . . "

(Considering that our gym is basically 2 women for every man. . . I thought this website was mighty applicable. Thanks Sarah for finding it! You will always be a lady in our eyes no matter how big your snatch or overhead squat gets. -jj)

thanks for this article/blog... I was just talking to Sarah today about this very issue. It's a good reminder not to be so focused on a number. :)

Oh what fun yesterday's WOD turned out to be. There didn't seem to be a lot of smiles going on (except for Jennifer, who is always smiling). Jerks got better as the rounds went on. Kelsy (Laci's sis) was doing jerks for the first time, and she looked like a pro by the end.
Adam Mills had a great performance, marveling at his strength at lifting the 70# kettlebell in place of the 65# barbell SDHP. Then, at the end of the workout, he realized he had the 53#er the whole time. Whoopsie! ;-)
I hope people will have recovered enough today to perform in their jobs. As I was explaining to Nate, sometimes our WODs are deliberately "just a little too much" because, as it says on our wall, "we fail at the margins of our experience". This was a night when it was obviously about "expanding the margins".
Good times.

Wow. Clear day, but only 4 peeps in class at 0600h. I guess yesterday's wod did 'em in. Debbie, where you been?? Its quiet with E&M on vaca.
0600h tweaked the programming today for a strength progression: 10-8-6-4-2-10. Great form all the way around, and everyone is getting deep these days - nice to see.

Worst part of the day after yesterday's WOD: Addressing envelopes! I can barely get through one address before I have to stop because my arms are BURNING!

Miss our DCF peeps! Craig can I count 5 miles of kayaking through the everglades mangrove tunnels for our concept2 challenge?
Or do we just call it a "rest day". It was 80 degrees here today and lots of sun and fun.
Hope all is well and the weather is good out west.
We will see you guys Tuesday.
P.S. I think Justin Lomax would make a great Mayor here in Miami

Haha. Mayor? I'll start local I think. Miami is too humid for me. I would dread doing wods in that heat. Sounds like you guys are having fun!
