Article:
Men are 'unhappy' with their bodies
"We know that 1 in 20 young people suffer from some degree of disordered eating and that at least 15% of them are men and yet that's a tip of an iceberg," he said."There are men who have problems with compulsive exercise and excessive bodybuilding who have an illness, but we haven't defined them. Our definitions of illness have been focused on women, rather than men."
I wonder if dieting for 'Linda' counts as an eating disorder. . . -jj

Mickey D's huh? Bastard!!
But hey all those preservatives are probably what's keeping craig going...old man that he is.
Really though...I'm a bit jealous.
Back to the zone for me.

Great workout this AM. I was out of town during the Hero's WOD, so I did one today.
"Badger"
3 RD's
30 X 95# Squat Clean
30 Pull Ups
800m Run
28:46 as RX'd
My previous PR was 42:05 (per Logs It All, done 12/07). My time on the white board wasn't correct. Basically a 14 min PR, I'll take it. In the middle round, I wanted to give up and thought I wasn't going to make it. I thought of why I was doing this WOD. It wasn't for me, it wasn't for a PR, it was for those who have sacrificed their lives for us, in one way or another. RIP to the real HEROES.

Damn, I forgot to flex!
Great work this morning: 2, 4, 6, 8, which do you appreciate? KTE's or Double Unders?
8 Man Makers (choose 35, or 25, or 15 lb dbs)
10 Knees To Elbows
6 Man Makers
10 Double Unders
4 Man Makers
10 Knees To Elbows
2 Man Makers
10 Double Unders
For time.
Stav, love your comments- I did the same thing halfway through Badger. Looked up at the board and saw Sgt. Paul's name and said to myself, this one is for Sarge and got a second wind.

Well said Stav & Craig. I definitely wanted to give in doing Daniel today after getting a rather large tear on my hand in the last set of pullups but I looked at the board and remembered by old football coaches words that I always think of when doing hero workouts, "you don't have to, you get to."

Thanks Nate, that's a good one. Applies especially to old farts like me still trying to keep our arses off the couch.
Bought two stall mats at Concord Pet and Feed in Pleasant Hill for $51 each today. They have a big stack of them. Went to "Play it Again.." for a 20Kg kettlebell but they wanted $94 bucks so I passed. Guess I'll shop around. I already have the 16 and 24 Kg so maybe I'll just make do. Legs are still a little sore from Luca's "Dumbbell Madness" thursday morning. I'm sure it was the walking lunges. Keep forgetting to practice those bastards.
