Diablo CrossFit

What Is CrossFit?

Started as a maverick gym in Santa Cruz, CrossFit has spread worldwide, becoming the principal strength & conditioning program for police academies and tactical op's teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, & hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide. Why? Because CrossFit works...FAST.

CrossFit delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. CrossFit's specialty is not specializing. Daily life, like many sports and professions, (and even combat) requires broad levels of fitness. CrossFit's program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree not kind.

Obesity prevention efforts should begin at age 2

"More research is needed to determine the causes of early obesity including "information on family history and the dietary and exercise habits in infancy,"

Exercise habits in infancy!? That is just ridiculous. How about the dietary habits of the parents! -jj

Good workout in the 0600 class (Jenny, Dave-from Oakland, Mark). Jeremy held the watch since he's still sore from a full weekend of getting and giving beatings.

20 minutes for rounds:
10 Thrusters (95#, 65#)
15 Kettlebell Swings (24kg, 16kg)
20 Double Unders

Sorry I missed it! Had a rough weekend...
See you guys Weds 0600....Filthy 50?!

Filthy 50! I forgot. It will be my first, Carry. You'll have to give me some tips.
I hope Shanda is recovering from her first Fight Gone Bad. Team Shark is going to make a comeback on Wednesday, though! I can feel it!
Tomorrow is my rest day, so I'll be ready.

Team Shark is on a rampage. I am doing all right after fight gone bad...can't take a Shark out easily! See you Wednesday!

Glad to hear you survived, Shanda. See ya Wednesday. Bring your best Shark face (whatever that means).

And by "Shanda", I mean "Chanda".

ok....since you guys are giving shouts out for your 0600 class, I guess I should represent a bit for the girls class today. We all had a great workout doing "Michael". I think we all beat our time since the last one. It was great to be back from vacation and hang with the am girls. Our class has really become a great support to all of us AND we get to have the little ones cheering us on!

"Team Cha-rk" That is hilarious!

Here are the "Girls Times" for "Micheal" on Wednesday May 28th:

Jasmine- 28:22 as rxd
Jamie- 27:50 mods (she couldn't do regular sit ups).

I didn't see Sarah's time posted on the blog for that day. . . but I know that Jasmine and Jamie both beat their old times (and Jamie was able to do it as Rx'ed!).

Nice work ladies.
