Our Mission: Make our clients fit beyond their expectations.

Diablo CrossFit was founded in 2005 by three former athletes who shared a passion for fitness and were sick of traditional gym offerings. We love CrossFit because it’s simple, incredibly effective, scalable for everyone, never boring, and it can be done anywhere. We started this gym with a “karma jar” so that our fellow CrossFitters could help us cover expenses. As our members started telling their family and friends, our gym grew - fast. What started as workouts in a backyard with a few friends is now a beautiful, 4000 square facility in Pleasant Hill with a cool community devoted to fitness.

We think that the fitness industry and big commercial gyms have failed most people leaving them confused and out of shape. We know that fitness is simple. And, it can be achieved much quicker than you think. We’ll introduce you to CrossFit and show you how.

We don’t have exotic weightlifting machines or treadmills or mirrors. But, we have lots of floor space for push ups and situps and plyometrics. We have pull up bars, kettlebells, medicine balls, gymnastic rings, barbells and dumbbells. We also have tires for flipping, and ropes to climb. Your workouts will never be the same again.

Our clients are extremely diverse in their experience, conditioning, and lives and include firefighters, students, triathletes, grandparents, business executives, stay-at-home moms, military personnel, and martial artists. Our atmosphere is one of support and camaraderie to anyone willing to put in the work

TESTIMONIALS

"I've been training at Diablo CrossFit since January of 2006. I was introduced to CrossFit prior to my first firefighter recruit academy. Since that day, I've lost 40 pounds and am now in the best shape of my life!"

Stavros Kalogirou, 33 - Firefighter, Triathlete - Pleasant Hill

"I have been training with Diablo CrossFit since November of 2008. A main focus area was to improve my core strength because of the back pain I experienced coming off of the bike in 1/2 Ironman races. For my entire 2009 season I NEVER had back pain in any race including my first Ironman ever. I don't just feel like CrossFit helped build lasting strength for me - I know it did and get stronger every day from it."

Jan Maynard, 31- Triathlete, Forward Motion Race Team

"On January 17, 2009 I joined DCF and my life changed. I was overweight, unhappy, and physically ill. Since joining DCF I have lost close to 60 lbs and I am stronger than I ever thought possible, physically and emotionally."

Laci Jackson, 25 - Concord

"I came to DCF at the old shed last year in April weighing in at 245 pounds (already down from just over 260!), unable to do one pull up. I leave now almost always able to finish, not always last (never first yet, but I have a dream!), and able to do solid kipping pull ups 10 or more at a time, and thanks to dialing in the zone diet a little more, weighing in this morning at 207."

Doug Storer, 47 - Walnut Creek

"Having been heavily involved in endurance sports, triathlon and cyclingI was fortunate to be introduced to Diablo CrossFit in January of 2009. I have learned more about training for strength and endurance in the past 10 months than I have in my 13 years of racing. I have experienced marked improvement in my core strength and overall fitness."

Dean Woerner, 46 - Walnut Creek

"I have been training at Diablo CrossFit since early January of 2009. I enjoy the small class sizes and the personal training I get at DCF. I have made many new friends and changed the way I look, feel and live. I have lost over 85 pounds in the last year and feel strong and healthy."

Matt Frediani, 37 - Walnut Creek, CA

"There are many things I love about CrossFit but the first thing is that there are no limits. You think you've hit a limit and you come back a week or 2 later and you go even further or faster."

Anne Lunday, 37
