Diablo CrossFit is a school of elite fitness located in Walnut Creek. We teach basic to advanced level classes in functional exercise, athletic conditioning, plyometrics, kettlebell trainig, olympic weightlifting, medicine ball training, and basic gymnastics. Our students are extremely diverse in their experience, conditioning, and lives and include firefighters, students, triathletes, grandparents, business executives, stay-at-home moms, military personnel, and martial artists. Our atmosphere is one of support and camaraderie to anyone willing to put in the work.

"What is the deal with the 'Workouts' and postings on the Diablo CrossFit blog?"

We post workouts on our website almost daily in addition to articles, pictures and video. These workouts are just a sampling of what is going on at "The Shed" at any given day. You may or may not do the posted workout in the class that day. If any of you are following along at home, you can do these workouts on your own - BUT WE DO NOT EXPECT YOU TO DO ALL OF THEM.

At most, we prescribe the traditional CrossFit methodology of 3 days in a row of CrossFit workouts followed by one day of rest (aka "3 on 1 off"), with a 1 week break (or 'light duty') every 8 weeks or so. This schedule promotes maximal benefits and progression with less over training. That being said, it is not the most convenient schedule for most people.

We posts workouts every day to let people do that workout, that day regardless of their schedule, and so that we can let the world know what is happening at "The Shed". . not as a strictly-adhered-to fitness program. One thing we do discourage is "Cherry Picking" (the choosing of workouts based upon how 'easy' they might be in comparison to one's strengths). Don't go the easy route, you are only cheating yourself.

Any time you want to check out and see what you have been missing at Diablo CrossFit, you can go to the blog and check out some of our latest workouts and performances. We also encourage people to post their workout results on the 'comments' section of the post. This quasi 'workout log' can be used for future reference to track your progress.
